Toronto Gets Seinfeld Restaurant, Not That There's Anything Wrong With That

Lace up those Himalayan walking shoes--or take an unwitting salesman on a prolonged test drive--to Toronto this summer and visit a pop-up replica of Monk's Coffee Shop, the preferred gathering spot for the "Seinfeld" gang.

Dishes refer to plots and jokes from the American sitcom's 9-season run. The official facebook page shows eggplant calzones, Junior Mints, chicken from Kenny Rogers' Roasters and, yes, big salads among the fare.

The pop-up restaurant opens Friday July 15 with a Seinfeld-themed extravaganza. Tickets will go on sale soon, according to the group's page.

The restaurant about nothing will operate throughout the summer and host thematic events like costume contests, trivia nights and karaoke.
